1. Check the Apple TV
You need tvOS 26.5 or later, a connected display, and internet access. In Apple TV Settings, check the installed software and available updates. Review the system requirements before preparing a fleet.
2. Find the app on Apple TV
Open the App Store on your Apple TV and search for Better Signage by Wes Walz. You can also view Better Signage on the App Store. Check the listing’s compatibility and install it on your Apple TV.
Availability depends on your storefront and device. If the listing does not appear, check your region and tvOS version, then contact support. Do not install an unrelated app with a similar name.
3. Create your account and pair
Create a free account or sign in on your phone or computer. Open Better Signage on the Apple TV, enter its current code in the dashboard’s Pair TV step, and choose Pair TV.
If tvOS asks about Local Network access, that permission is used for optional media delivery from other authorized Apple TVs on the same account and LAN. Cloud delivery still requires internet access.
4. Put something on screen
Use Add media, then Playlist, then Play in the dashboard. Wait for the player to prepare the files and confirm the result on the physical TV. Videos play silently.
