Apple TV and display
- tvOS 26.5 or later and an Apple TV on which the Better Signage App Store listing permits installation.
- A connected HDMI display, power, and an Apple TV remote for setup and diagnostics.
- The Better Signage app open on the player while it runs your signage.
The player is a tvOS app for Apple TV hardware. The Apple TV app built into a smart TV, an AirPlay receiver, a Fire TV, and an Android player do not run this app. Playback capability and output resolution also depend on your Apple TV, display, and media.
We do not publish a device-by-device performance certification. Check installation eligibility on your Apple TV before committing to a hardware rollout.
Dashboard browser
Use a current browser with JavaScript, secure cookies, file uploads, and local storage enabled. You can manage your account from a computer, tablet, or phone.
Keep the browser open until an upload finishes and the file appears in your library. Video conversion runs on our servers after upload; it continues when you close the tab. Your browser does not need to encode the video.

Prepare 16:9 landscape artwork for the default crop-to-fill presentation. The dashboard does not currently provide screen rotation, a layout designer, separate logo-overlay controls, website embeds, or live streams. Add logos and text in your source artwork.
Network and storage
Internet is required for signup, pairing, media downloads, and new publishes. Prepared content can continue during a temporary connection outage while the local files remain available. Local caching is not a permanent offline or backup guarantee.
Allow outbound HTTPS to the dashboard/API and the media delivery destinations supplied by the service. Optional same-account local peer delivery uses TCP 44438 between Apple TVs on your LAN.
Free includes unlimited screens and 50 MB of media storage. Every player also needs enough available device storage for its assigned content.
