Event venue signage can identify a booking at the entrance, direct guests to the correct room, and carry the event's photographs or sponsor artwork inside. A wedding reception, conference, and private celebration can each have content prepared for that occasion rather than sharing one general venue loop.
Better Signage plays your approved images and silent videos on physical Apple TVs connected to landscape HDMI displays. Prepare the playlists in a browser, choose the TVs for each room, and press Play to publish. Standard plans include unlimited screens across the entrance, corridors, and event spaces.
Welcome screens that identify the booking
An entrance welcome gives arriving guests a way to confirm they are at the right event. Use the organizer's approved title, names, and visual identity with the next arrival instruction, such as continuing to a named room or checking in at a desk. A wide version of the invitation design can connect the screen to the material guests already recognize.
For a private celebration, let the client choose the photograph or artwork intended for public display. For a conference, use the approved event identity and registration information. Keeping a dedicated playlist for each booking makes the entrance content part of that event's preparation.
Room directions for venues with several spaces
Corridor displays can show the destination at the point where guests choose a route. Use the venue's actual room names and a simple diagram or arrow checked from the installed display. Outside the room, an event identification image can confirm that the guest has reached the correct space.
Keep these directions separate from a reception photo loop. Someone looking for a room needs the route in view, while guests inside the event can enjoy a longer visual sequence. Select the Apple TVs for each playlist so neighboring bookings receive their own information.
Photographs and prepared films for receptions
Client-approved photographs can carry a couple's story, an organization's work, or the subject of a celebration. Prepare wide images with deliberate crops so the important people and captions remain visible. A finished video can combine photographs and titles into a sequence the organizer reviews before the event.
Better Signage plays videos muted. Put any necessary explanation into the edit and leave music with the venue's audio system. Different TVs can show the same reception playlist, but the player does not provide frame synchronization for a coordinated multi-screen presentation.
Sponsor acknowledgments and the venue between bookings
For an event with sponsors, use supplied logos and approved acknowledgment wording. A sequence of sponsor images gives each name readable space without filling one screen with small marks. These can accompany the event's branded holding image inside the booked room.
Between bookings, a venue playlist can show room photographs, example setups, and a silent walkthrough. Visitors touring the venue can see configurations that are not set up that day. Present them as examples and provide the venue's existing inquiry route for discussing a future event.
Prepare Apple TV signage for the event handoff
Each screen needs a landscape HDMI display and a physical Apple TV running tvOS 26.5 or later with App Store installation eligibility. Upload JPEG or PNG artwork and finished videos; videos convert to H.264 MP4. Select the players and press Play to publish the booking's playlist, then verify the content in each room before guests arrive.
Your team handles changeovers between events. Better Signage does not choose content from a booking system or calendar schedule. Free costs $0 per month with 50 MB of storage and unlimited screens. Paid plans start at $4.99 per month for 250 MB, also with unlimited screens; the venue supplies its hardware separately.
What to put on your screen
Entrance playlist: event welcome and check-in
Use the organizer's approved title and artwork, followed by the arrival instruction for that booking. Keep the event identity and next step readable for guests approaching the entrance.
Corridor display: the route to a named room
Prepare an image with the destination and a checked arrow or simple map. Publish it to the TV at that decision point, separately from the photographs playing inside the reception.
Reception playlist: approved photographs
Format the client's images for a wide screen and check each crop. Combine them with a welcome image or a finished captioned film when the organizer wants a visual story for the occasion.
Conference room: branded holding content
Create an event identity image and a sequence of organizer-approved sponsor acknowledgments. Use this when the room's TV is assigned to signage; presentation-source changes remain with the venue's existing controls.
Private celebration: a personal welcome
Pair the client's approved names with their chosen photograph or illustration. Prepare a dedicated playlist for that room so content from another booking does not enter the celebration's loop.
Venue tour: examples of room setups
Show photographs of the venue in arrangements it has actually hosted or prepared, with captions describing the setup. Follow with the current event-inquiry route for visitors discussing a future booking.
Set up your signage on Apple TV
Connect a compatible Apple TV to your landscape TV over HDMI. Install Better Signage, open the app, and enter its pairing code in your web dashboard. Give each screen a name that tells you where it is.
- Upload your finished JPEG or PNG slides and videos. Video conversion runs on our servers, and signage videos play silently.
- Arrange the files in a playlist and choose how long each item stays on screen. Build text and logos into your artwork, with room around the edges for the default crop-to-fill display.
- Select the Apple TVs you want to update and choose Play. The players download and check the media before starting the playlist. Send it again with Play whenever your content changes.
You need physical Apple TV hardware eligible to install Better Signage, running tvOS 26.5 or later. Internet is required for setup, downloads, and new publishes. Keep the app open on each player while it runs your signage.

Common questions about event venues
Can each event room have its own welcome and playlist?
Yes. Create the room's playlist, select its paired Apple TVs, and publish with Play. Every standard plan includes unlimited screens.
Does the next booking's content appear automatically?
No. Better Signage does not connect to the venue's booking calendar or schedule changeovers. Prepare the content in advance and have staff publish it when the room changes events.
Can I show client photographs and event videos?
Yes. Upload JPEG or PNG images and finished videos approved for the event. Videos are converted to H.264 MP4 and play muted.
Will reception TVs play the slideshow music?
No. Better Signage mutes video playback. Use the venue's existing audio system for music and prepare the screen sequence to make sense silently.
Will the same film stay synchronized on multiple TVs?
Better Signage does not provide frame synchronization. You can publish the same playlist to several Apple TVs, but use a different playback setup if matching video frames are required.
